Tasting Notes

Nose

Sherry-cask example: dried cherry, walnut, dark chocolate and orange peel. Hints of leather and old library, with a treacle sweetness underneath.

Palate

Rich and rounded — fruit cake, raisin, cocoa and gentle oak spice. The 43% bottling adds body without aggression, and the cask selection is unmistakably G&M: classical, generous, and built for sipping rather than showing off.

Finish

Long, warming and gently drying, with dried fruit, cocoa and oak fading into a clean malty close.
