Tasting Notes

Nose

Dark honey, dried fig and old polished oak. Behind that, orange marmalade, walnut shell, a trace of beeswax and a faint maritime saltiness drifting in from the North Sea.

Palate

Rich, oily and beautifully balanced. Stewed dark fruit, toffee, dried orange peel and a thread of ginger. Old sherry oak carries dark chocolate and a hint of leather.

Finish

Long, warm and drying. Dark honey, oak tannin, bitter orange and a final saline whisper.
