Nose

Marshmallow, white chocolate, vanilla, lemon and grapefruit peel, rustic baked bread, earthy cereals

Palate

Plush and oily — firm spicy punch, citrus pith, more fresh bread, dry baking spice — the wild yeast character coming through

Finish

Sugary — boiled sweets, icing sugar, lemon sherbet drying out at the end

Expert Review

8/10

Tenth Private Edition release. Name means 'wild' in Gaelic — refers to a unique strain of wild yeast Dr Bill Lumsden discovered living on Glenmorangie's own Cadboll barley. Heavy use of second-fill casks to spotlight spirit character rather than wood. Non-chill filtered, 51.2%.
