Tasting Notes

Nose

Candied pecans and apfelstrudel, red apple peel, warm vanilla, plums, apricots, honey, orange peel, floral notes with juniper and resin

Palate

Honey and vanilla custard, orange zest, lychee, cardamom and tangerines, caramel, stem ginger — smooth, floral, citrus perfume, the sherry adding depth without dominance

Finish

Medium length — soft oak spices, lemon pith, malty and nutty fade, gentle and elegant rather than powerful, the tall stills evident in the refinement

Expert Review

8/10

From Scotland's tallest stills at 26 feet 3 inches — only the lightest, most elegant vapours reach the top. Fifteen years in ex-bourbon American white oak, then finished for three years in Oloroso sherry casks. Since rebranded as 'The Infinita.' A masterclass in elegant Highland whisky at 43%.
