24 reviewsI picked this up hoping the Perpetual Collection would bring something special. It's pleasant enough — honey, light citrus, soft oak — but at £93 I can name five or six whiskies I'd rather have. The 40% ABV makes it feel a bit thin compared to cask strength bottles I've been drinking lately.

3 March 2026I've tried a few of the Perpetual Collection and Vat 1 is my favourite so far. Classic Glenfiddich DNA with that signature pear and honey character but the continuous vatting adds a bit of depth. I keep a bottle in rotation and usually enjoy it neat before bed.

25 February 2026I keep coming back to this one. Classic Speyside honey and orchard fruit on the nose, and at 40% it's easy drinking neat after dinner. Not the most complex dram I own but it's consistent and pleasant every single time.

22 February 2026I was skeptical about the Perpetual Collection idea but Vat 1 won me over. There's this lovely creamy toffee note layered with green apple and a hint of malt that just works. I've been pouring this for guests and everyone asks what it is. Genuinely impressed.

21 January 2026The nose is the star here — fresh pear, honey, light floral notes that are unmistakably Speyside. Palate is softer than I expected at 40% but still enjoyable. I drink it neat with a few drops of water and it opens up nicely.

4 January 2026Look, it's Glenfiddich so you know the quality is there — light pear, vanilla, a touch of oak. But at nearly £94 for a 40% ABV with no age statement, I feel like you're paying a premium for the Perpetual Collection branding. I'd want at least 43% at this price point.

30 December 2025Bought this for my brother who's just getting into whisky and he loved it. It's approachable without being boring — sweet malty notes, a bit of vanilla fudge, gentle spice on the finish. I ended up drinking most of it myself which says something.
