Tasting Notes

Nose

Dark oloroso, dried fruit, espresso. Magnificent and complex, with raisin, fig and a dark treacle richness. Beneath the sherry, leather, cigar box and a gentle spice. Eighteen years of maturation have brought a composure and integration that the younger expressions hint at.

Palate

Full and gloriously sherried — dark fruit, dark chocolate, a robust oak spice. The eighteen years in oloroso casks have produced extraordinary depth without bitterness or over-extraction. Mid-palate brings roasted walnut, Christmas cake and a savoury warmth. Magnificent.

Finish

Very long, with oloroso richness and dark fruit sustaining in a slow, elegant fade.
