Priya Sharma — Proper Campbeltown punch

This one hits you with that classic briny, maritime nose the moment you pour it. At 55.9% it's got real weight — I added a few drops of water and got lovely toffee and orchard fruit coming through. Ten years old and drinks like something older. Really solid festival pick.

Clara Johansson — Good but not cheap

I grabbed this at the Whisky Show and enjoyed it neat over the course of an evening. Salty and slightly smoky with some dried fruit sweetness underneath. At nearly £88 for a ten year old it's a bit steep though, even at cask strength. I'd buy one bottle but probably wouldn't replace it.
