23 reviewsI've been saying Glen Scotia is underrated for years and this release proves it. Gorgeous mix of sea spray, honey, and gentle peat smoke. The cask strength really lets you taste everything without any corners being rounded off. One of my favourite purchases this year.

24 March 2026I know cask strength fans will disagree with me but I found this one a bit too spirity for my taste. There's good stuff underneath — some nice fruit and coastal notes — but I kept fighting the alcohol. Might work better in a highball honestly.

24 March 2026This thing hits hard at 56.8% but it's not aggressive about it. Big maritime salt and brine on the nose, then caramel and dried fruit once it opens up. Added a few drops of water and it really bloomed. Solid dram for the price.

22 February 2026Had the first Icons release and this one is just as good. Rich dried fruit, beeswax, and that classic Glen Scotia oiliness. The ABV is up there but it carries it well. Sharing this with friends who think Campbeltown only means Springbank.

6 December 2025I wanted to love this more given the Icons of Campbeltown branding. It's a well-made 14 year old single malt with nice oily texture and some coastal character, but at £93 I expected a bit more complexity. Drinks fine neat once you get past the initial alcohol burn.

28 November 2025Picked this up on a whim and I'm glad I did. At 56.8% it needs a splash of water but then you get lovely vanilla, toffee, and this subtle briny note that screams Campbeltown. £93 feels fair for a cask strength 14 year old these days.

21 October 2025The nose is fantastic — wax, orchard fruit, a whiff of smoke. On the palate though it stays pretty fiery even with water. I think another couple of years in the cask would have rounded this out beautifully. Still a decent dram, just not one I'd rush to rebuy.
