Tasting Notes

Nose

Massive pear and green apple, clover honey, vanilla toffee, buttery shortbread — generous and inviting

Palate

Light-medium body, surprisingly oily and creamy — digestive biscuits, toasted oak, ginger, crushed peppercorns

Finish

Short to medium — clean and refreshing, vanilla, acacia honey, lemon zest — pleasant but brief

Expert Review

7/10

Speyside malt from Elgin, aged in American oak ex-bourbon casks. Part of the 'Elgin Heritage' range. Owned by La Martiniquaise. Consistently one of the best-value aged Speysiders — surprisingly oily and creamy for the price. More approachable than adventurous, but outstanding value. 40%.
