7.8/10A cask strength Highland single malt finished in Marsala wine casks, independently bottled by Signatory Vintage for The Whisky Exchange. At 58.9% ABV and thirteen years old, it offers an uncommon finishing cask and genuine point of difference at a fair price.

35 reviewsPicked this up from TWE on a whim and I'm genuinely impressed. The nose is all sticky toffee pudding and red berries, and the palate delivers rich wine-soaked fruitcake at cask strength. Thirteen years in that Marsala cask was the sweet spot. I drink it neat and just let the ABV do its thing.

28 April 2026Interesting one this. You get the classic Edradour waxy character underneath all that Marsala influence — grape must, candied orange peel, cinnamon. It's a bit hot on the finish even for a cask strength fan like me. I'd say it's fair value at £95 but nothing that blew my mind.

2 April 2026I keep underestimating this tiny distillery. The Marsala finish gives it a jammy, almost port-like quality with baked cherries and warm spice. Needs a few drops of water to tame the 58.9% but then it really sings. Solid pick for the price range.

2 February 2026I like what the Marsala cask brings here — raisins, stewed plums, a touch of nuttiness. But at £95 for a relatively unknown Edradour vintage I expected a bit more complexity on the finish. It fades quicker than I'd hoped. Decent dram, just not a rebuy for me.
