7.8/10Dingle's Lunasa is a cask-strength Irish single malt bottled at 50.5% with real substance and personality. At £93.95 it sits at a premium, but the craft conviction and intensity behind this NAS release justify the ask.

18 reviewsAt 50.5% this has real backbone — honey, orchard fruit and a peppery kick that lingers. I drink most Irish malts neat and this one rewards patience; give it ten minutes in the glass and it opens right up. Dingle are doing serious work down in Kerry.

11 February 2026I always try Irish single malts at cask strength first, and at 50.5% the Lunasa carries its weight well without being hot. Added a splash of water and got waves of citrus peel and brown sugar. Really well balanced and I've already gone through half the bottle faster than I'd planned.

26 January 2026This might be the best thing Dingle have released. Rich dried fruit and vanilla on the nose, then toasted oak and a long warming finish thanks to that 50.5% ABV. I added a few drops of water and got even more butterscotch coming through. Genuinely impressive single malt.

19 January 2026Picked this up expecting fireworks given the hype around Dingle lately. It's a competent single malt — some tropical fruit, biscuity malt, mild spice — but the finish drops off quicker than I'd like. Perfectly enjoyable neat on a weeknight, just didn't blow me away.

26 November 2025Lovely whiskey, don't get me wrong — baked apple, a touch of malt and some gentle spice on the finish. But at nearly £94 I keep comparing it to what else I could grab at that price point. A solid dram, just not a no-brainer purchase for me.

20 November 2025Decent whiskey but I struggled to find what justifies the £94 price tag. The nose is pleasant enough — some caramel and light fruit — but the palate felt a bit thin compared to other Irish single malts I've had at this level. Not bad by any means, just didn't connect with me the way I hoped.
