Nose

Roasted nuts, orange oils, figs in syrup, overripe satsuma, sticky toffee, honeyed barley — the virgin oak adding sweetness

Palate

Sweet citrus, tinned fruit syrup, nutty maple, cinnamon, ground almonds, ginger snaps, candied fruits, fresh malty character

Finish

Toffee, cream, oak spices — decent length for NAS, the virgin oak leaving its clean sweet signature

Finished in un-charred American virgin oak casks for 9-12 months after initial maturation. Non-chill filtered, natural colour, 46.3%. A bargain single malt from the cotton mill distillery. The virgin oak adds sweetness without overwhelming the clean, malty spirit. One of the best-value unchillfiltered malts on the market.
