Tasting Notes

Nose

Red berry compote, stewed plum and blackcurrant leaf. Cereal sweetness beneath, with a dusting of cocoa and dried orange peel.

Palate

Oily and warming at full strength. Bramble jam, dark cherry, malt loaf and a resinous tannic grip from the wine cask. Water opens cracked pepper and toasted almond.

Finish

Long and drying, with lingering red fruit skins, bitter chocolate and a gentle oak warmth.
