At nearly 60% ABV this one doesn't mess around. I get big malty cereal notes up front with dried apricot and a touch of baking spice that lingers. Added a few drops of water and it really opened up into something lovely. For an American single malt at this price point, I think it's a solid buy.

Picked this up after hearing good things about Copperworks. The nose is genuinely great — honey, vanilla, toasted oak — but the finish felt a bit hot and short for what you're paying. At £90 I expected a little more depth. Still, neat with a splash of water it's a pleasant enough pour and I respect what they're doing with American single malt.
