Tasting Notes

Nose

Sea spray, peat smoke, lemon oil. The cask strength nose is vivid and maritime — iodine, brine, smoked fish. Beneath the coastal peat, a clean maltiness and a surprising citrus freshness. Less medicinal than Laphroaig, more coastal than Ardbeg.

Palate

Full-bodied and smoky — brine, peat, a citrus brightness that cuts through the smoke. The cask strength gives it tremendous intensity and a coating, oily texture. Mid-palate brings vanilla, smoked honey and a gentle sweetness that balances the maritime peat beautifully. Water opens tropical fruit and malt.
