Nose
Crushed blackberry, violet, dark plum skin and a ribbon of cocoa. Underneath, classic Bushmills orchard fruit — green apple, pear — wrapped in vanilla oak.
Palate
Rich and unexpectedly grippy. Black cherry and ripe plum first, then cocoa nib, mocha and a tannic edge borrowed straight from the Merlot-dominant Pomerol wood.
Finish
Long, drying, faintly peppery. Dark berry compote lingers alongside espresso and sweet oak.
