Tasting Notes

Nose

Classic Islay peat, brine, smoke, honey, chocolate, grassy core — Bunna's gentler peat

Smoke versus vanilla, creamy mouthfeel, oily, peppery, pear drops, cooked apple, wood spice, mint, ginger, chocolate, oranges

Finish

Long, warm, spicy, smoky — sherry warmth carrying the peat throughout

Expert Review

8/10

Gaelic for 'The Smoky Two', successor to the original Toiteach (debuted 2008) — a peated expression from Islay's traditionally unpeated Bunnahabhain. NAS, ~75% ex-Oloroso sherry and ~25% ex-bourbon casks. Non-chill filtered, natural colour. Outstanding value NAS Islay — punches above its price with sherry-meets-smoke complexity.
