At nearly ninety quid I was expecting something a bit more complex. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice bourbon — warm vanilla, oak spice, hint of dried fruit on the finish. Just not sure it justifies the price when there are comparable bottles for half that.

I grabbed this on a whim and I'm glad I did. The proof is right in that sweet spot where you get plenty of caramel and baked apple without any burn. Neat is the way to go with this one — maybe a single cube if you want to open it up a bit.
