Tasting Notes

Nose

Classic Speyside fruit basket — green apple, pear drop, honey and vanilla. A light cereal note and a whisper of fresh oak round things out.

Palate

Soft and elegant — orchard fruit, honeycomb, malt biscuit and a gentle dusting of cinnamon. The slightly elevated bottling strength gives the palate more presence than a standard 40% supermarket blend.

Finish

Clean, medium-length and lightly oaky, with apple and honey lingering longest.

Expert Review

8/10

Britain's oldest wine and spirit merchant, trading from 3 St James's Street since 1698, applies three centuries of blending experience to a Speyside-sourced malt at 44.2%.
