Tried this neat and it's got that waxy, slightly meaty character Ben Nevis is known for, with some orange peel and malt underneath. The cask strength ABV carries it well without being harsh. Not the most complex whisky I've had this year but it's well-made and I'd happily pour another.

At 59.9% this absolutely roars out of the glass — dried fruits, toffee, and a whack of oak spice. Added a few drops of water and it opened up into honeycomb and stewed apples. For an 11 year old single cask at under £90, I think this is a steal from Adelphi.
