At 56.4% this one hits you with a wave of honey and baked apple right on the nose. Added a few drops of water and it opened up into this lovely toffee and dried fruit thing. For a 12 year old single cask, £89 feels about right — I'd happily grab another bottle.

Clara Johansson — Solid but not spectacular

Tried this neat and it's a decent Highland malt with some malty sweetness and a bit of oak spice. The cask strength is nice for those who like a kick, but I found the finish a bit short for what I was expecting from a single cask release. Good whisky, just not one I'd rush to replace.
