Tasting Notes

Nose

Heavy peat smoke, malt, a gentle warmth. The heavy peating on Edradour's small-scale spirit creates a dense, smoky character. Beneath the peat, honey, vanilla and a gentle cereal warmth. Surprisingly intense for a Highland malt.

Palate

Smoky and malty — heavy peat, honey, a gentle warmth. The tiny Edradour stills produce a spirit with natural weight, and the heavy peating adds density. Mid-palate brings dark chocolate, smoked honey and a generous warmth. At 46%, good body.

Finish

Medium-long, with heavy peat smoke and a gentle warmth.

Expert Review

7.8/10

Edradour's heavily peated alter ego — Scotland's smallest traditional distillery producing serious smoke.
