Tasting Notes

Nose

Honeyed malt, dried flowers, a gentle oak sweetness. Elegant and composed, with vanilla, a whisper of smoke and a complex, multi-layered quality that reveals new notes with each nosing. Dried apricot and a faint herbal quality beneath.

Palate

Silky and balanced — honey, soft oak, a gentle smokiness, floral malt. The blending is exemplary, with no single element dominating. Forty-plus malts and several grains create a tapestry of flavour that is complex without being complicated. Mid-palate brings chocolate, dried fruit and a delicate spice.

Finish

Long for a blend, with honeyed oak, a whisper of smoke and a clean, elegant fade.

Expert Review

8.2/10

The blender's benchmark — seventeen years of Miltonduff, Glenburgie and forty other malts woven into seamless elegance.
