Tasting Notes

Nose

Fresh and fruity — apples, pears, citrus, honey, vanilla, the island freshness inviting and clean

Palate

Ripe orchard fruits — apples, strawberries, creamy coconut, oily texture, vanilla and oak spice, the 43% providing good body, the sherry influence adding depth to the bourbon sweetness

Finish

Dry — clean and satisfying, the oak having the final word, moreish

Expert Review

7/10

Scotland's national poet's official whisky — endorsed by the World Burns Federation. Arran is the closest distillery to Burns' birthplace in Alloway, Ayrshire. Matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, naturally coloured at 43%. Orchard fruits, creamy coconut, vanilla, and a dry finish. Affordable single malt with genuine heritage.
