Tasting Notes

Nose

Sweet fruit — apples, oranges, mango, apricot — toffee, fudge, light raisin, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg

Palate

Green apple, pineapple, citrus, gentle berries — sherry brings brown sugar, buttered toast, pastry spice

Finish

Medium — toffee apple, light pepper, oak bitterness — pleasant for the price

Expert Review

7/10

Aberlour's entry-level — vatting of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, aged 10 years. From Charlestown of Aberlour on the Spey, founded 1879. 40%. Pound-for-pound excellent value, fresh and fruity entry-level Speyside.
