Nose
The liquid is clear amber that turns gold when held up to the light. The palate is the inversion of the nose, with the sweet orange flavor being the strongest with the cherry following after. There is a light bitters flavor and a medium sweet finish.
Palate
A strong cherry fragrance with orange behind it. Its difficult to assess the notes of the actual rye under the strong scent of the flavoring. This sweet and fruity cocktail is dangerously easy to drink and delicious. The strong cherry and blood orange taste makes it flavorful on its own, and also could serve as a great base for one of the cocktails featured on the distillerys website. The flavors are simple, but the classic combination lends it a wide appeal.
