Tasting Notes

Nose

Honeycomb, beeswax, dried mango, vanilla fudge and old oak.

Palate

Thick honey, tropical fruit, custard, toasted almond and warm spice.

Finish

Long, waxy, with lingering vanilla, oak and a hint of dark chocolate.

First Impressions

The 20 Year Old is Tullibardine's flagship ex-bourbon expression.

Distillery & Heritage

Distilled in Blackford in the 1990s — a turbulent era for Tullibardine that included a long mothballing — these casks were carefully selected by master distiller John Black and his successors.

Tasting Notes in Detail

The nose develops slowly: honeycomb, beeswax, dried mango, vanilla fudge and the polished-oak character of well-aged bourbon barrels. The palate is thick and almost waxy.

Verdict

Tullibardine at its best.
