Tobermory 2004 Oloroso Cask Matured was distilled in 2004 and fully matured in oloroso sherry casks for seventeen years — no bourbon-cask base, just pure oloroso maturation from start to finish. Bottled at cask strength (55.9%), limited to 11,124 bottles, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
Full oloroso maturation creates a different Tobermory from the bourbon-then-sherry expressions. The seventeen years of exclusive sherry contact have produced a spirit of genuine richness — toffee, almonds, blackcurrant — with a texture that the cask-strength presentation amplifies magnificently.
