Tawny is part of Starward's Projects range — a limited release that takes their malt and finishes (or wholly matures) it in casks that previously held Australian tawny-style fortified wine.

Starward have always championed local wine casks, and Australia's tawny tradition — particularly from Rutherglen and the Barossa — produces some of the world's great fortifieds.
Tasting Notes in Detail
The nose is pure sticky toffee pudding. On the palate it's rich and unctuous: dark caramel, dried fig, candied orange peel, milk chocolate and roasted hazelnuts.
Verdict
Hedonistic and expressive.
