Nc'nean Organic Single Malt Batch 15 continues the Morvern peninsula distillery's core expression — organic Scottish barley distilled, matured and bottled sustainably. Batch 15, filled between May and August 2018, uses 55% STR red wine casks, 43% bourbon casks and 2% oloroso sherry casks.
Each batch reflects a slightly different snapshot of the distillery's maturing stocks, and Batch 15 shows a confident, fruit-forward spirit. The STR (shaved, toasted, recharred) wine casks are the defining influence — Dr Jim Swan's technique producing tropical fruit notes that give Nc'nean its distinctive character.
At 46%, unpeated, organic and sustainably produced in 100% recycled glass bottles powered by renewable energy, Nc'nean Batch 15 is a whisky with a clear conscience and genuine quality. The tropical brightness, the clean malt and the sustainable production make it one of Scotland's most principled and enjoyable core releases.
