The blend combines 60.8% grain (bourbon cask), 30.8% malt (bourbon cask), 2.6% peated malt (bourbon cask) and 5.8% pot still (oloroso sherry cask) — an unusually complex recipe for a budget Irish blend.
The four-component blend creates genuine interest. The grain provides smooth sweetness, the malt adds cereal depth, the peated malt contributes a subtle smoky warmth, and the pot still in sherry adds a spicy, dried-fruit richness. Few blends at this price attempt such complexity.
