Tasting Notes

Nose

Complex for the price — ripe pear, summer fruits. Clean and inviting. The three wood types (virgin oak, American oak, bourbon refill) create genuine breadth on the nose.

Palate

Balances vanilla sweetness with malty, light floral fragrances. Apple, cream, cinnamon, caramel. A little peat and smoke. Malt, oak, honey. Better for drinking than sipping — best on the rocks or in mixed drinks.

Finish

Long and sweet with a subtle hint of smoke. Surprisingly sustained for the price.

Grant's Triple Wood — formerly known as Family Reserve — is matured in three wood types: virgin oak for spicy robustness, American oak for subtle vanilla smoothness, and bourbon refill for brown sugar sweetness. Anchored by Glenfiddich and Balvenie malts from William Grant's portfolio.

The triple wood approach gives Grant's more character than many competitors at its rock-bottom price. The virgin oak adds a spice that younger blends often lack, and the William Grant malt content provides a solid foundation. At under seventeen pounds, the value is undeniable.

Grant's Triple Wood is the everyday blend that millions rely on — the third best-selling Scotch in the world. It is not a whisky for contemplation, but it is a good one for drinking, mixing and sharing. The triple wood adds genuine interest at a price that excludes nobody.
