First Impressions
Lasanta — Gaelic for 'warmth and passion' — is Glenmorangie's sherry-finished core expression.
Distillery & Heritage
After a decade in ex-bourbon American oak, it spends two further years in a combination of oloroso and Pedro Ximenez butts from Jerez, a recipe finalised when the range was reformulated in 2018.
Tasting Notes in Detail
The nose leads with classic sherry markers — sultana, walnut, marmalade, butterscotch — but Glenmorangie's signature stone-fruit lightness still peeks through. The palate is plush and Christmas-cakey: medjool date, dark toffee, dried fig, candied orange peel, a dusting of nutmeg and clove.
Verdict
The friendliest sherried Highlander on the shelf.
