First Impressions
The Glenlivet 25 — sometimes labelled XXV — is the long-aged sherry-finished flagship.
Distillery & Heritage
Founded in 1824 by George Smith, The Glenlivet was the first licensed distillery in the parish of Glenlivet. The 25 sits at the top of the core age-statement range.
Tasting Notes in Detail
The nose is rich and inviting — orange marmalade, dark honey, dried figs, almond and polished oak. The palate is generous with sherried raisins, candied citrus, dark chocolate, toasted nuts and warm baking spice.
Verdict
Glenlivet at its most contemplative.
