Tasting Notes

Nose

Apricot, pear, oak — light spice, caramel, leather, dried raisins, vanilla-coated peaches, the OBSV recipe's fruit-forward character

Palate

Honey, apple, vanilla sweetness — oak, cinnamon, and clove on the back end, the 35% rye providing bold spice, the 100 proof delivering full flavour without harshness, bags of flavour

Finish

Warm and spiced — the high rye lingering with cinnamon and clove, oak and caramel fading, the single barrel's individual character evident
