It's not trying to be Midleton. It's not trying to be Bushmills. It's distinctly Dingle, and that sense of identity is worth something in a category that can sometimes feel homogeneous.
I'm scoring this 7.7 out of 10. It's a well-constructed single malt that over-delivers for its price point, with enough personality to stand apart from the crowd. I'd like to see what Dingle does with older stock as the distillery matures — the foundations here are sound, and I suspect the best is still ahead of them.
