First Impressions
Chivas Regal 25 holds a unique place in whisky history: when it first launched in New York in 1909 it was the world's first 25-year-old luxury Scotch blend. Discontinued for decades, it was reintroduced in 2007 as a small-batch release.
Distillery & Heritage
Built once again around exceptionally aged Strathisla and other Speyside malts hand-selected by Colin Scott (and now stewarded by Sandy Hyslop). Each batch is bottled in numbered presentation.
Tasting Notes in Detail
The nose is opulent — honeyed orange, peach, almond and polished antique oak with milk chocolate behind. The palate is rich, silky and unhurried: marmalade, dried apricot, dark honey, hazelnut praline and a properly mature sherry-oak spine.
Verdict
A genuinely historic dram.
