Tasting Notes

Nose

Rye spice, caramel, dried cherry. Ten years have given the high-rye Bulleit character genuine maturity. Beneath the spice, vanilla, toasted oak and a gentle warmth. More composed than the standard expression.

Palate

Spicy and mature — rye pepper, dark caramel, a gentle oak depth. The ten years provide genuine complexity. Mid-palate brings brown sugar, dried fruit and a gentle warmth. At 91.2 proof, good body.

Finish

Medium-long, with rye spice and mature oak.

Bulleit 10 Year Old adds genuine maturation to the brand's characteristically high-rye bourbon. Ten years in the barrel have given the spicy, rye-forward character genuine depth and complexity that the younger standard expression cannot match.

The age statement transforms Bulleit. The high-rye spice that can feel brash in the standard expression has mellowed and integrated, now supported by mature oak, dried fruit and a composed warmth. Ten years is the point at which Bulleit's distinctive character reaches genuine maturity.

Bulleit 10 is an excellent value age-statement bourbon. The high-rye character, the genuine maturity, and the accessible price create a bourbon that delivers more than its modest cost suggests. The frontier brand at its most accomplished.
