Available only in limited quantities and primarily in export markets, Straight from the Barrel has become one of the most hunted bourbons in the world. The high proof concentrates every flavour — the caramel is darker, the spice is sharper, the oak is deeper — while the barrel variation means no two bottles are identical.
The nose is powerful: dark caramel, toasted oak, leather, cinnamon, orange peel, vanilla, and a rye spice that cuts through the sweetness. The palate is thick and rich — dark toffee, charred oak, dark cherry, espresso, brown sugar, and a pepper spice that builds with each sip. The mouthfeel is extraordinarily viscous.
