I have been looking forward to getting my hands on Watertown Coconut Whiskey. Bottled at 36.5% ABV); 750ml bottle; $34 and priced at $34.99, it promises genuine character.
Nose
This whiskey is an extremely light color, just a very light amber.
Palate
This whiskey has a very sweet and oaky scent. It does not have the normal scent associated with most whiskey. There is definitely a hint of coconut.
Finish
This whiskey is very sweet, with a strong touch of honey, followed by the flavor of coconut. It is very smooth, and light.
The Bottom Line
Watertown Coconut Whiskey is fine — not bad, not great, just fine. At $34.99, I think there are better options in this range if you are willing to look around.
