Nose
The whiskey has a meaty nose with notes of orange peel and spices, oak, and a light hint of raisin and cinnamon.
Palate
I was very happy with this tasting, as the whiskey is beautifully balanced and gives a complex profile that includes some umami vibes hitting the spot on every part of the palate. The brand adopts the slogan Go Big or Go Home, and I fully appreciate that Big Stick Semper Fi Bourbon has gone big, and definitely does not disappoint. I look forward to mixing an Old Fashioned for friends with this new discovery.
